My name is Carmell Burns. I live in Paradise, Utah with my husband (Mike) and son Braydon. We have two other children ‐ Kara and husband Colin living in Texas and Blake and wife Brenda and grandson Sullivan living in Puyallup, WA. Braydon is 21 years old and was born with VACTERL Association.

I attended my first VACTERL conference in June 2005. There was a presentation by the Pull‐thru Network (PTN) at the conference. I inquired further and joined the PTN
organization soon after. I have served on the Board of Directors since the first PTN conference in St. Louis, MO in 2008.

I have worked as a phlebotomist at our local hospital for 7 years. Before that I worked as a staff assistant at Utah State University for 20 years. I have experience working with computers and in advocating for patients in a hospital settng. Being a member of the Board of Directors is a means for connecting with other families and sharing our experiences. I love talking with families about medical experiences and I would love to continue as a member of the PTN Board of Directors. Thank you.
