Pull-thru Network Website Terms
Pull-thru Network provides information, education, support and advocacy for families, children teen and adults who are living with the challenges of congenital anorectal, colorectal or urogenital disorders. This website is provided as a service that allows members to communicate with other members, have access to information and other programs provided by Pull-thru Network. By using the Pull-thru Network website you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (this “agreement). If you wish to become a member and make use of the Pull-thru Network programs and services, please read this agreement and indicate your acceptance by following the instructions in the Registration process.

This Agreement sets out the terms for your use of the Website and your membership in Pull-thru Network. Pull-thru Network may modify this Agreement from time to time and such modification shall be effective upon posting by Pull-thru Network on the website. You agree to be bound to any changes in this agreement when you use the Service after any such modification is posted. This agreement includes Pull-thru Network’s policy for acceptable use and content posted on the Website, your rights, obligations and restrictions regarding your use of the Website and the Service and Pull-thru Network’s Privacy Policy as posted elsewhere on this website.

Terms of Use
1) Appropriateness of Information
The relevance of any information contained in any article, publication, forum post or information received from any source provided by Pull-thru Network and/or a member of Pull-thru Network should be discussed by the patient, or the patient’s parent(s) or caregiver(s) with their own physician(s). You should always discuss any changes in your, or your child’s, care with the medical professionals who are familiar with your, or your child’s, diagnosis and/or particular situation.

2) Pull-thru Network Rules of Etiquette
You are solely responsible for your interactions and communications with other members. Our goal is for this Website to be a resource that provides information and support in an atmosphere that is respectful of all of the members of Pull-thru Network.

In order to make this as positive an experience as possible we require that you abide by the following Rules of Etiquette:

Be Mindful of Other’s Feelings
It is easy for a reader to mistake your “tone of voice”. Any post that can be interpreted as a personal attack of another member inhibits the free and open expression of each person’s experiences and opinions. We ask that you respond to the subject or question specifically without criticism of another’s opinion or point-of-view. Never under any circumstances will it be allowed for anyone to personally “slam” another member. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but under no circumstances are you allowed to attack someone personally.

We ask that you keep in mind that the members of Pull-thru Network come from a variety of cultural, religious and national backgrounds. We require that each member of Pull-thru Network be treated with respect and with an understanding of the unique perspective they each member brings to these discussions.

Since each child is unique, it should be assumed that each child's medical situation is also unique. What has worked for one child will not necessarily work for another. We ask that when making suggestions that you preface your advice with "this is what has worked for us", or "this is what was recommended by our child's doctor/nurse".

Physician choice is also a very personal matter, and while we allow subscribers to share their experiences regarding a particular medical professional, we do ask that you not label a doctor, nurse, therapist, or hospital as being "the best", or use any other reference which could be interpreted by the reader as inferring that one medical professional is superior to another. What is best for one may not be best for another. We understand that if your child has done well, and you are satisfied with your child’s care, that you will feel loyal to the provider of that care. Please share your direct experience only without judgment as to what would be best for someone else. We also recognize that some children have not received satisfactory care or did not have a good outcome. When sharing those experiences please refrain from negative comments regarding the provider. You should assume that the reader is able to draw their own conclusions and make their own judgments as to the positive or negative outcome of your experiences. They should also feel free to make their own judgments as to the appropriateness of your advice as it applies to their own child and/or their own situation.

We ask that you refrain from judging the choices made by other members of Pull-thru Network.

Overt and/or repeat violations of these rules of etiquette will cause a member to be permanently removed from use of the website. Determination of the violation will be the sole responsibility of the Board of Directors of Pull-thru Network.

Please remember that the opinions and recommendations that are shared on this website are from parents or caregivers and not necessarily from medical professionals. You should always discuss any changes in your child's care, or recommendations that you may receive, with the medical professionals who are familiar with your child's diagnosis and particular situation.

Commercial posting is strictly prohibited. This means that messages promoting a product or service must not be posted by, or on behalf of, anyone with any sort of financial interest in that product or service. Opportunities for paid advertising are, however, available on this website. Please contact the Pull-thru Network office for more information regarding advertising.

Solicitations to participate in market research by commercial enterprises are likewise prohibited. Solicitations to participate in research studies by non-profit entities must be cleared by the Pull-thru Network Board of Directors before being posted on this board.

Pull-thru Network reserves the right to remove messages, block users after a warning and update this policy without notice.
